The Open Championship - also known as the British Open outside Great Britain - is the oldest golf tournament still played in the world. The entire Loch Lomond whiskey range is presented here; hence the name “The Spirit of The Open”. Known as “The One,” the British Open is the most international of all professional golf championships, with qualifying tournaments on five continents. The championship will also be broadcast to 600 million homes in almost 200 countries.
The Loch Lomond The Open Special Edition 2024 is made in the shadow of Ben Lomond.
The bottling celebrates the 152nd British Open in 2024.
For this bottling, distillates from the unique Straight Neck Pot Stills from Loch Lomond and from the more traditional Swan Neck Pot Stills were used.
The single malt first matured in American oak barrels and then in former first-filled Chardonnay Wine Casks and thus developed the characteristic fruit and honey notes as well as a gentle smoky tone.
The Open Special Edition also comes with a QR code that takes you into an authentic The Open Experience.

- Nose: distinct aromas of ripe limes and green apples, followed by ripe pears and soft vanilla tones
- Palate: strong notes of fresh fruit, clearly fresh peaches and pears, plus elegant tones of heather blossom honey and roasted oak
