Redesigned in 2023, this is the Small Batch Edition #9. The full-bodied Aberlour 12 year old 2012/2024 was distilled in the heart of Speyside and enjoyed 12 years of full maturation in casks pre-filled with Oloroso Sherry.
Tasting Notes: This is what the Aberlour 12 year old Small Batch Edition #9 Signatory tastes like
- Nose: intense aromas of red berries and stone fruit, plus spicy heather honey and barley malt - in the background Scent of old books bound in leather
- Palate: the stone fruit becomes more intense, especially cherries and plums are present - this is joined by sultanas and some white pepper
- Finish: the fruits and honey are present in the finish - slightly malty
