Portrait: What makes the Old School Malt 31 year old Sherry Butts Signatory special

Outstanding malts from the past decades in one Bottle united: The Signatory Old School Malt was carefully blended in the 1990s from 104 single malt Scotch whiskies from different vintages and then made into Sherry Butts to mature to perfection. However, the youngest ingredients spent a total of at least(!) 31 years in oak Casks.

The blend composition is likely to bring tears of joy to the eyes of seasoned Scotch fans: Included are precious single malts from distilleries that are now closed and/or demolished. These include irreplaceable whiskies from Banff, Brora, Coleburn or Dallas Dhu, Glen Mhor, Killyloch and Littlemill as well as Lochside and Port Ellen.
