In the evergreen Macouba on Martinique, Rhum J.M is one of the few distilleries in the world that distills Rhum Agricole. 
The small traditional business follows the strict regulations of the“Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée”. How to meet such high standards of production and enjoyment has been passed down at Rhum J.M since 1845 - right up to “Maître de chai” Karine Lassalle, who is now responsible for the diverse product range of the Antilles distillery.
 
For La Dame Jeanne No. 2 combined Lasalle 8 to 22 year old rums. Bottled from bourbon barrels, a freshly charred American oak barrel and French oak barrels pre-filled with wine, they were blended to strong cask strength. The limited assemblage is reminiscent of the glass containers called “Dame Jeanne” for storing and transporting rum.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Rhum J.M La Dame Jeanne No. 2 tastes like

• Nose: light aromas of tropical fruits - banana, mango and some papaya can be seen, followed by light vanilla aromas and slight hints of spices
• Palate: soft and mild in taste - at the beginning the fruits again, then more clearly spicy notes of nutmeg, cinnamon and coriander
• Finish: long and soft in the finish - fruity and spicy tones in harmony
