The Old Pulteney Coastal Series Port Wine Cask Matured is the second of four planned editions in Old Pulteney's Coastal Series. The selected Casks all come from very special coastal regions of the world.
The limited Old Pulteney Coastal Series Port Wine Cask Matured initially matured in 2nd-fill exBourbon Casks, and then followed its actual purpose - the final refinement in former Port Wine Casks from northern Portugal Douro Valley.
The result is a wonderful combination of fruit, sweetness and spice.
The Old Pulteney Coastal Series Port Wine Cask Matured perfectly combines heat and cold, i.e. the soft and intense fruit of port wine the typical maritime-mineral character of Old Pulteney.

Old Pulteney's Coastal Series takes whiskey lovers on a journey of discovery to the almost endless possibilities of maturation and finishing in barrels from all over the world. For this limited series, Old Pulteney collaborates with wine and spirits producers from around the world who produce their products in coastal regions. As a whiskey famous for its maritime, sea-influenced flavors, it was natural for the distillery to enhance this very special character through special Cask aging. The results are extremely different and expressive Single Malts.

Two worlds come together here that couldn't be more opposite and yet are strongly connected in at least two points: a centuries-old craft and the search for intense aromas through the Expression of the climatic influence on the coast. Here the advantages of American oak Casks merge with hand-picked Portuguese Ruby Port Pipes and Ruby Port Barriques to create a particularly balanced, maritime Single Malt with wonderfully sweet and spicy notes as well as the typical Old Pulteney minerality.

The ruby ​​red gift box with gold-colored elements highlights the Port Cask maturation and shows 
an illustration of the Portuguese coast. The Single Malt Whisky is not chill-filtered.

• Nose: intense aromas of dried fruits, sultanas and buttery vanilla  
• Palate: clear notes of candied oranges, plus Marzipan and ripe cherries - above all cinnamon rolls
• Finish: long in the finish with a pleasant fruity sweetness - paired with the mineral saltiness typical of Old Pulteney
