Portrait: What makes The Sexton Single Malt Irish Whiskey special

The Sexton matures for four long years in Antrim on the north coast of Ireland.
Triple distilled in the pot still, this single malt, distilled predominantly from barley mall, is convincing.
The maturation takes place in former Oloroso sherry casks.

Tasting Notes: This is how The Sexton Single Malt Irish Whiskey tastes like

  • Nose: clear aromas of apricots and peaches, followed by brown cane sugar and citrus peels
  • Palate: mouth-filling and soft in taste - the fruits again, plus juicy dried fruits, especially raisins, dates and figs, paired with mild honey tones
  • Finish: medium-long finish, dried fruits again, paired with a slight spice
