Bushmills The Original matures in American white oak barrels. Triple distilled in the traditional way. The mash contains unmalted barley, which is not dried using peat smoke. This gives the whiskeys from Bushmills Distillery their typically soft and fruity character and tastes significantly less rough than most Scottish malts.
