Portrait: What makes the Midleton Very Rare 2024 special.

The 2023 bottling of Midleton Very Rare, the Irish distillery Midleton only fills once a year under the distillery name Irish Whiskey.
The bottles are numbered and bear the signature of Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Midleton Very Rare 2024 tastes like

  • Nose: a delicate floral scent at the beginning, closely followed by roasted coffee beans, salted caramel and honeycomb - in the background nectarines, freshly grated ginger, nutmeg and spicy oak
  • Palate: round and full in the Taste - baked garden fruit with hints of lime and kiwi - then notes of mild spices, vanilla, sweet coffee liqueur and cocoa powder follow - hints of clove oil and nutmeg
  • Finish: Long-lasting finish with spices and soft fruits, increasingly the spicy tones of oak
