Jameson's successor to the Select Reserve matured in Double Charred First Fill exBourbon Barrels - these are former Bourbon Casks that are heavily burned before filling to maintain a strong carbon layer in the Cask.

Tasting Notes: This is how Jameson Black Barrel tastes like

  • Nose: strong and fruity with tropical fruits, especially peach, guava and coconut, followed by fresh grain
  • Palate: full and rich in taste with an exceptional creaminess - clearly dates and Walnuts, peaches and coconuts again, some cinnamon on top
  • Finish: long finish - very fruity, the cinnamon is joined by nutmeg and some oak
