Portrait: What the GlenAllachie 18 year old

Since the takeover by Billy Walker and Co. in 2017, there has only been one direction for The GlenAllachie: up. This upward trend of the distillery is now visualized in a new design. Diagonal elements, embossing and refinements represent the continuous progress of the independent Speysiders. While the content of The GlenAllachie Single Malts remains unchanged, the visual update modernizes and premiumizes the brand - and brings the packaging into line with the quality in the bottle /strong>

GlenAllachie has refined the 18-year-old from the Core Range with fresh vanilla, marzipan, dark cherries and more.
The bottling is also more intense in color than before, made from American Oak, Sherry and Virgin Oak barrels are now available again in a new look.
As usual for the Core Range, the single malt is neither colored still cold-filtered and with an alcohol content of 46%vol. bottled.

Tasting Notes: This is what the GlenAllachie 18 year old tastes like

  • Nose: fresh vanilla, Toffee, butterscotch and spices
  • Palate: Raisins, marzipan, heather and honey are present, as well as lush notes of dark cherries, spices and subtle hints of dark chocolate 
  • Finish: long and soft in the finish - the chocolate and dark cherries are present, plus some heather, marzipan and honey
