Since the takeover by Billy Walker and Co. in 2017, there has only been one direction for The GlenAllachie: up. This upward trend of the distillery is now visualized in a new design. Diagonal elements, embossing and refinements represent the continuous progress of the independent Speysiders. While the content of The GlenAllachie Single Malts remains unchanged, the visual update modernizes and premiumizes the brand - and brings the packaging into line with the quality in the bottle.
The distillery GlenAllachie, which is quite young by Scottish standards, was founded in 1967 and has been since 2017 Privately owned - the three owners include none other than Master Distiller Billy Walker!
Tasting Notes: This is what the GlenAllachie 12 year old tastes like
- Nose: Butterscotch and honey are present, with raisins and mocha in the background
- Palate: mild honey and marzipan, clearly ripe bananas and butterscotch again , raisins and notes of mocha
- Finish: harmonious and soft in the finish - honey and bananas remain present for a long time
