Since the take over by Billy Walker and Co. in 2017, there has only been one direction for The GlenAllachie: up. This upward trend of the distillery is now visualized in a new design. Diagonal elements, embossing and refinements represent the continuous progress of the independent Speysiders. While the content of The GlenAllachie Single Malts remains unchanged, the visual update modernizes and premiumizes the brand - and brings the packaging into line with the quality in the bottle.
The new Batch #11 continues the success story of bottling. The single malt spent a decade in Pedro Bottled at a strong 59.4% ABV, it weaves layers of cocoa, red dried fruits and baking spices with the typical GlenAllachie sweetness.
Tasting Notes: This is how the GlenAllachie 10 year old Batch #11 tastes like
- Nose: Waves of honeycomb, Orange peel and syrup, with fig syrup, mocha and poached fruit, followed by cinnamon and caramel
- Palate: lots of cocoa, heather honey and baking spices, followed by dried red berries and Black Forest cake
- Finish: clearly maraschino cherries and anise in the long finish
