With a maturation period of 12 years This experimental bottling perfectly embodies the delicate style of the Highland distillery Glenmorangie. The rare Calvados barrels aroused the particular interest of Master Distiller Dr. Bill Lumsdento see how the elegant pome fruit notes would combine with the fruity style of Glenmorangie for the first time - a first for Glenmorangie.
The Glenmorangie 12 year old Calvados Cask Finish initially matured for over 10 years in former bourbon barrels made of American white oak. The single malt whisky was then given a two-year finish in French Calvados barrels in which Calvados du Pays had previously been stored for 20 years d'Augeto enhance the classic, fruity finesse of the single malt.

- Nose: intensely fragrant with strong aromas of baked apples, pears, vanilla and almonds - behind it a slight waxy note - with a little water, floral aromas of daffodils and jasmine, paired with heather honey and sweet pastries
- Palate: oily and spicy with a wealth of sweet notes - clearly baked pears, candied apples and marzipan, behind them star anise and praline with some lemon balm, eucalyptus and a touch of charcoal
- Finish: long-lasting finish - slightly cooling
