The Writers Tears Marsala Cask Finish is a limited edition that combines the flavors of Ireland and Sicily. After maturing for several years in American bourbon barrels, this exceptional whiskey matured for a further 12 months in selected former Marsala Wine Casks from the well-known Florio winery in Sicily.

Tasting Notes: This is what the Writers Tears Marsala Cask Finish tastes like

  • Nose: rich aroma of golden syrup, plus earthy aromas and dried fruits 
  • Palate: intense notes of caramelized apples and candied ginger, behind it nutty and spicy tones, paired with wildflower honey
  • Finish: medium-long finish with fruits and sweet hints of toffee and caramel - the nuts again
