Portrait: What makes the Laphroaig 10 year old

The distillery Laphroaig on the island of Islay produces whisky since 1815. Among other things, the favorite whisky of Prince Charles, which one also proudly on the labels of the 10-year-old Laphroaig to the show.

• Palate: now clearly seaweed and lots of oak, then intense phenols and iodine, reminiscent of a first aid kit with plasters and gauze bandages, some old leather - then getting spicier with notes of black pepper and cardamom
• Finish: long in the finish, again peat and iodine - some tar and damp wood
