The brothers Baptiste and Claude founded Combier when they were just 25 years old In the 18th century, the Combier distillery in Saumur, France.

The traditional house with a long history produces Pastis Combier, a natural white, slightly greenish pastis according to a traditional recipe.

Just 15 plants and Spices find their way into the Pastis Combier - including, of course, star anise, cloves, cardamom, black pepper and nutmeg - but also exquisite herbs such as wormwood and centaury.​

Tasting Notes: This is how the Pastis Combier tastes like

• Nose: elegant aromas of spicy licorice, plus strong spicy aromas of peppercorns, cardamom and some coriander
• Palate: very light and elegant in taste - the licorice recedes and makes room for clear notes of star anise, plus the cardamom again
• Finish: long and balanced in the finish
