First, the Paul John Christmas Edition 2023 matured in former Bourbon Casks, and the Single Malt Whisky received an additional finish in former Colheita Tawny Port Wine Casks
Tasting Notes: This is what the Paul John Christmas Edition 2023 tastes like
- Nose: strong aromas of creamy vanilla pudding and some dark chocolate - light aromas of sweet dried fruits
- Palate: sweet-fruity notes of juicy dried fruits and spicy oak, followed by mocha, caramel, vanilla and mild spicy tones
- Finish: very long, fruity finish - dried figs, dates, raisins and plums are present - plus slight hints of exotic spices
