Portrait: What makes the Loimu 2023 special.

The Finnish family business Lignell & Piispanen looks back on 170 years of history - here they know how a premium Glögg is made and what it should taste like.

Every year Lignell & Piispanen with a vintage Glögg and, since 2022, also with an alcohol-free version!

For the tenth time, Lignell & Piispanen the vintage Loimu - every year in a limited edition in an individual bottle and every year with a new recipe!
Also in 2023, the bottle design of the red vintage bottling is again completely new. This also applies to its contents.
In 2023 Nordic plums, black currants and a touch of spices ensure a full-bodied taste in the cold season.

Simple Heat the ready-to-drink Loimu 2023 in a pot or a mug to around 60 degrees Celsius (do not boil!) and best enjoy it by candlelight with family or friends.

Ingredients: red wine, sugar , water, alcohol, berry extract, Finnish plums, blackcurrants, spices, spice extract

Tasting Notes: This is what the Loimu 2023 tastes like

  • Nose: ripe dark plums and blackcurrants, Christmas-spicy
  • Palate: soft and rich in taste - again clearly the plums and the berries, spiced for Christmas
