Profile: The Plantation Sealander at a glance

Portrait: What the Plantation Sealander makes up

A unique blended rum from three islands: Barbados, Mauritius and Fiji. The elegance of Barbados meets the typical grass and herbal notes of Mauritius combined with the complex structure and fruitiness of the Fiji Islands.

The selected Rum qualities were distilled in the pot and column still from molasses (Barbados and Fiji ) and sugar cane juice (Mauritius) in the distilleries West Indies Rum Distillery on Barbados, the Saint Aubin Distillery on Mauritius and in the Rum Co. of Fiji Distillery on the Fiji Islands.

The selected Rum Casks matured for several years the countries of origin in former bourbon barrels and another year in Ferrand in France in Ferrand barrels.

Tasting Notes: This is what the Plantation Sealander tastes like

  • Nose: Ripe pears and roasted almonds are present - behind them are clear aromas of marzipan and coconut macarons
  • Palate: rich and smooth - very delicate with spicy fruit notes and balanced wood tones - a bitter sweetness combines with tonka beans, bitter almonds, honey, coconut and a light fruit sweetness
  • Finish: long in the finish with pronounced notes of banana chips, baked apple and tonka beans
