The anCnoc Sherry Cask Finish Peated Edition is made from a combination of Knockdhu's peated and unpeated distillate and after an initial < strong>Maturation time in American oak barrels stored in former sherry casks from Jerez, which refine the character of the whiskey as smoky distillate mixes with sweet, spicy wood.

The anCnoc A consistent addition to Knockdhu's family of acclaimed single malts, Sherry Cask Finish Peated Edition impresses with the smooth, sweet and fruity flavors of anCnoc as well as the delicious vanilla and warm spice of a sherry finish - but with the added richness of subtle, lingering campfire smoke.

Founded in 1894 in the Scottish Highlands, Knockdhu Distillery received a 2017 Icons of Whisky was awarded the "Distiller of the Year" award by the renowned Whisky Magazine.
The distillery has been marketing its single malts since 1993 under the name "anCnoc" (Gaelic "the hill").
This meant that we were not only close by name to the Speyside Malt "Knockando", but also strongly emphasizes that they want to shake off the sometimes old-fashioned image of Scottish whisky.
It's certainly not about that not to hide a great tradition, but to integrate it into the brand identity in a contemporary way and also appeal to younger malt consumers.

• Nose: full, soft fruity and floral aromas, followed by dark berries and Stone fruit - soft peat smoke above all  
• Palate: a light mouth-filling sweetness of soft honey and ripe lemons, then again the dark ripe fruits paired with spicy notes of oak wood and peat smoke
• Finish: medium-long finish - in addition to the fruit, there is now clear peat smoke and oak
