Portrait: What defines the Bushmills 11 year old of The Causeway Collection.

The Bushmills 11 year old The Causeway Collection is an Irish Single Malt Whiskey with a rare barrel finish in a limited edition - exclusively for the German market.

The Irish Single Malt Whiskey matures initially for over six years in former bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, then master blender Alex Thomas decided on a finish in the rare French Banyuls dessert wine casks.

The sweet ones , enriched dessert wine notes from these casks immediately bring sensational notes of sun-ripened peaches and apricots into the whiskey - and where others might only let their whiskey mature for six months, Bushmills left the whiskey in the Banyuls casks for a whopping almost five years strong>.

The juicy stone fruit notes intensify over the years and become warmer and sweeter, paired with notes of fresh baked goods, plus sweet spices, with anise and blackcurrant, which stand out as the Bushmills signature.

  • Nose: rich spicy aromas , paired with peaches and apricots
  • Palate: mouth-filling with intense notes of vanilla and soft honey, with baked peaches with delicate hints of anise seed and black currant
