Portrait: What the Redbreast 12 year old Batch No. 1/23.

The Redbreast whiskeys are venerable representatives of the traditional single pot still Irish whiskeys.< br>Neither blend nor single malt, distillates in this complex Irish category are created in a single distillery from a mash of malted and unmalted barley, which is distilled in a traditional copper still.
As is typical of the Irish style, the Midleton Distillery passes its vapors through the pot still three times.
The result: the wonderfully mild, aromatic Redbreast raw spirit.

The Redbreast 12 Years Batch No. 1/23 is the cask-strength version of the distillery's award-winning 12-year-old.
The Irish whiskey not only draws strength and complexity from 57.2% vol. alcohol content, but also from former bourbon barrels and former Oloroso Sherry butts - in the form of intense notes such as figs, lemons, vanilla and spices .
