Tasting Notes: How does the "AS WE GET IT" Highlands?

Nose: Sherry sauce on the nose, with aromas of caramel and honey

Palate: Spicy at the beginning with notes of fresh herbs, followed by fruity tones and a little vanilla

Finish: long finish with intensive hints of light fruits, herbs and some oak wood

What makes the "AS WE GET IT" Highlands?

Ian MacLeod is one of the most traditional independent bottlers in Scotland - the Scots have known about exclusive Scotch whiskies since 1933.
The "As we get it" bottlings, which appear at irregular intervals, have been firmly established for many years.
For the "AS WE GET IT" Highlands Ian MacLeod will select a single malt whisky from a distillery in the Scottish Highlands and Bottled in cask strength without any changes - without the use of chill filtration and without the addition of coloring agents - just as ”as we get it”…
