Since 1999, the Woodford Reserve distillery presents a special edition of the Kentucky Derby once a year, which is held since May 1857 always on 05 May.
Aroma: soft and creamy with clearly honey, roasted oak and vanilla, slightly spicy - in the background leather, cocoa and butterscotch
Taste: full-bodied - very creamy with a pleasant mouthfeel, again the spiciness, accompanied by hints of almonds, ginger and roasted coffee beans - a bit oak and a lot of rye
Departure: long finish with elegant spicy oak notes
Chosen as Whiskey of the Year in 1997, Woodford Reserve is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskey that is best drunk neat or with a splash of water.
