The Kilchoman Vintage 2010 Bourbon Cask #420 #9/10, distilled from barley, which comes exclusively from the Kilchoman distillery farm, matured exclusively in a former bourbon cask.
The Kilchoman Vintage 2010 Bourbon Cask #420 #9/10 is heavily peated with 50ppm. 

The visionary aspiration of the 100% Islay philosophy is expressed in this unique single cask collection.  

Carried on by the centuries-old tradition of "farm distilling", the endless possibilities of local artisanal processes and outstanding cask management, the skilful variety is evident Kilchomans.  

Different cask types, vintages and smoke levels in cask strength are presented.  

Each of the casks is numbered for the release AN SAMHRADH 2023 by I-X, each bottle is individually numbered by hand and provided with a short Distiller's Tasting Note.

Kilchoman is proud to be Scotland's only distillery to produce a single malt made from their own grown and malted barley.  

The Uniquely Islay series gives Kilchoman the opportunity to experiment with and present unusual barrel types.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Kilchoman Vintage 2010 Bourbon Cask #420 #9/10 tastes

• Nose: sweet peat smoke and ripe soft fruits are present
• Palate: soft and mouth-filling - ripe light fruits and some vanilla, plus vanilla -Fudge and spicy oak - above all soft peat smoke
• Finish: long in the sweet and spicy finish - again the vanilla and the fudge, the fruits step back a little and make room for the Peat smoke
