The Kilchoman Vintage 2014 Sauternes Cask #713 #5/10, distilled made from barley, which comes exclusively from the farm Distillerie Kilchoman, first matured in ex-bourbon casks and then received a finish in an exSauternes wine cask strong>.
The Kilchoman Vintage 2014 Sauternes Cask #713 #5/10 is heavily peated with 50ppm. 

The visionary endeavor of the 100% Islay philosophy is found in this unique single cask collection.  

Carried on by the centuries-old tradition of "farm distilling", the endless possibilities of local artisanal processes and outstanding cask management, the skilful variety is evident Kilchomans.  

Different cask types, vintages and levels of smoke in cask strength are presented.  

Each of the barrels is numbered for the release AN SAMHRADH 2023 by I-X, each bottle is individually numbered by hand and provided with a short Distiller's Tasting Note.

Kilchoman is proud to be Scotland's only distillery to produce a single malt made from their own grown and malted barley.  

The Uniquely Islay series gives Kilchoman the opportunity to experiment with and present unusual barrel types.

• Nose: elegant aromas of butterscotch and honey, behind which are the citrus notes typical of Kilchoman and lots of peat smoke
• Palate: mouth-filling with lots of peat smoke and Butterscotch, behind it light hints of barley malt and ripe citrus fruits
• Finish: long in the peaty-smoky finish - peat smoke, malt, citrus fruits and leather are present
