The Kilchoman Vintage 2010 Calvados Double Cask #383 & #384 #4/10, distilled from barley sourced exclusively from Farm Distillery Kilchoman, first matured in ex-bourbon casks and then received a finish in two exCalvados casks.
The Kilchoman Vintage 2010 Calvados Double Cask #383 & #384 #4/10 is heavily peated with 50ppm. 

The visionary aspiration of the 100% Islay philosophy finds its expression in this unique single cask collection.  

Carried on by the centuries-old tradition of "farm distilling", the endless possibilities of local artisanal processes and outstanding cask management, the skilful variety is evident Kilchomans.  

Different cask types, vintages and levels of smoke in cask strength are presented.  

Each of the barrels is numbered for the release AN SAMHRADH 2023 by I-X, each bottle is individually numbered by hand and provided with a short Distiller's Tasting Note.

Kilchoman is proud to be Scotland's only distillery to produce a single malt made from their own grown and malted barley.  

The Uniquely Islay series gives Kilchoman the opportunity to experiment with and present unusual barrel types.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Kilchoman Vintage 2010 Calvados Double Cask #383 & #384 #4/10 tastes

• Nose: fresh with clear aromas of ripe fruit - apples and apricots are present
• Palate: Now the strong peat smoke is clearly evident, and the ripe apples and juicy apricots join them again - above all sweet pastries
• Finish: long in the sweet-peaty finish - fruits and peat go hand in hand
