The single cask for the German market is a treasure that is only available in limited quantities and is accordingly elegantly packaged: the gift box is embossed with gold on the outside and numbered by hand, and is lined with soft velvet on the inside. The Speyside Single Malt, limited to 723 bottles, has been maturing since April 2010 in a sherry cask that was pre-filled with the nutty Oloroso. Bottled at cask strength, it develops a complex summer profile, characterized by orange chocolate, coconut, grapefruit and ginger biscuits.
