Portrait: What makes The Glenlee Batch No. 1 - Limited Release.

Built in 1896, the Glenlee was one of ten steel sailing ships built by Archibald Sterling & Co. were commissioned. During her service she circumnavigated the world four times and passed the stormy coast of Cape Horn fifteen times. Today she is fully restored on the River Clyde, right next to the Riverside Museum in Glasgow Harbour, and is now a museum ship known as 'The Tall Ship'.
To honor the ship's distinguished origins, Aceo Ltd. with The Glenlee a high-quality blend of Scottish malt and grain Whisky that has matured in fine oak barrels. Its sale serves to preserve the Glenlee. The Glenlee is malty, with gentle spices on the nose, aromatic, creamy - and a real money-saving tip!

Tasting Notes: This is how The Glenlee Batch No. 1 - Limited Release
  • Nose: soft spicy aromas paired with fresh malt and spicy heather honey
  • Palate: soft, almost creamy in taste - the spicy notes are joined by bright ripe fruits and a hint of old leather
  • Finish: long and soft in the finish - the spice remains, the fruits are now more dominant
