Portrait: What makes the Plantation XAYMACA Special Dry special.

A real premium blended rum selected rum qualities from Jamaica.
Barrels from the renowned rum distilleries Clarendon Distillery and Long Pond Distillery were selected.

The selected barrels initially matured for one to three years in Jamaica in former bourbon casks.
The casks were then married in France and then matured in small, used Ferrand casks with a volume of 350 liters made of French oak in France for about another year.
The Plantation XAYMACA Special Dry was also refined with a small amount of 17-year-old Jamaican rum.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Plantation XAYMACA Special Dry tastes

  • Nose: a very complex rum, with slightly smoky and fleshy hints with also sour fruity-herbal aromas - behind it there are clear aromas of vanilla pods, ripe bananas, bitter orange peel and roasted pineapple
  • Palate: Surprisingly dry, but at the same time wonderfully fruity - then impressive notes of rose water, pears, white grapes, apricots and cinnamon apples
  • Finish: the finish is long with hints of coconut milk, allspice, nuts and fresh bread
