For the Teaninich 13 year old 2009/2023 1st-fill Bolgheri Hogsheads Finish four Casks were selected, first the single malt whisky was matured in classic former bourbon Casks, then a finish in Casks pre-filled with the complex Tuscan red wine Bolgheri.

- Nose: red, ripe apples, then more and more spicy aromas - clearly, cardamom and anise, followed by nutty hints, paired with spicy oak
- Palate: again the apples, with freshly baked bread and apple cake with cinnamon and nuts, with vanilla sauce
- Finish: long and sweet on the finish - the apples remain present for a long time - the fresh apples are used now slowly apple compote with soft, spicy tones
