Portrait: What makes the Loch Lomond Signature so special.

The Loch Lomond distillery impresses with a variety of outstanding whiskies - both single malts and singles Grains, plus impressive blended whiskies.

The Loch Lomond Signature is a blended Scotch whisky with distillates from Swan Neck pot stills, straight neck pot stills and Coffey stills.
The Loch Lomond Signature matures in former Solera Oloroso sherry casks and in newly burned American oak casks.

The result is a fruity Whisky with elegant honey tones and a soft smoky note.

Tasting Notes: This is how Loch Lomond Signature tastes 

  • Nose: very aromatic - initially reminiscent of wine - then intense aromas of ripe plums and strong sultanas follow - dark fruits and some smoke
  • Palate: strong notes of malt paired with ripe pears, cinnamon and ginger, plus brown cane sugar with hints of dried fruits
  • Finish: the dried fruits again in the finish, behind it black currants and lemon tart
