The Loch Lomond distillery impresses with a variety of outstanding whiskies - both single malts and single grains, as well as impressive blended whiskies.

The Loch Lomond 12 year old is a single malt Whisky with distillates from the typical Swan neck pot stills and from straight neck pot stills.
The Loch Lomond 12 year old matures in refilled and newly burnt out ex-bourbon casks made from American oak.

Tasting Notes : This is how the Loch Lomond 12 year old tastes like 

  • Nose: crisp green apples and ripe pears are present, plus fresh aromas of ripe lemons - ripe grain in the background
  • Palate: Clear notes of fresh fruit and lemon meringue pie - intense tones of pears, behind them the lemons again - above all vanilla biscuits
  • Finish: the finish is medium-length with a gentle, lingering note of wood smoke
