The Laphroaig distillery on the island of Islay has been producing whiskey since 1815. Among other things, Prince Charles' favorite whiskey, which is also proudly displayed on the labels of the 10-year-old Laphroaig.
Laphroaig is a typical representative of Islay - for Laphroaig the principle applies: "You either love him or you hate him!" . The distillery has existed since 1815. Since then, the manufacturing processes have been continuously refined. The legacy is extremely high quality single malt Islay whiskeys.
The taste of the Laphroaig 10 year old is overwhelming, whiskey connoisseurs use words like seaweed, diesel, tar or disinfectant to describe it.

The Laphroaig 10 year old is still distilled in exactly the same way today as it was when it was created 75 years ago. In 2019, this malt received a gold award at the San Francisco World Spirits Awards.

Laphroaig is one of the few distilleries that still cuts its own peat and its "malting floors" are still operational.

The Laphroaig 10 Year Boot Bag Edition is inspired by the look of the wellies worn by all Friends of Laphroaig at the Arrive at the Distillery on Islay to view their very own piece of land without getting your shoes dirty.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Laphroaig tastes 10 years

• Aroma: too Immediately powerful with lots of smoke and peat, plus spicy aromas and liquorice, slightly salty - you can tell the proximity to the sea - burnt, damp wood in the background
• Flavour: now clearly seaweed and lots of oak, then intense phenols and iodine, reminiscent of a first-aid kit with plasters and gauze bandages, some old leather - then becoming spicier with notes of black pepper and cardamom
• Finish:long finish, again peat and iodine - some tar and damp wood
