Portrait: What makes the Black Bull 12 year old

The strong blended Scotch whiskies are characterized by courage, an innovative spirit and independence Black Bull. The blends have been very popular with whisky fans since the brand was founded in 1864. 
The reason: an unusually high proportion of malt and more volume percentages ensure an intense flavor profile . 

The core range - consisting of the Black Bull 12 year old, Kyloe and Kyloe Peated - still largely corresponds to the original formula: 50% single malt whisky, 50% Single grain whisky, 50% vol. alcohol content.

The leader of the herd is the Black Bull 12 years - matured in former sherry and bourbon casks strong>.
 

Tasting Notes: This is how the Black Bull 12 year old tastes like  

  • Nose: red, ripe berries and chocolate, some toffee and sherry are recognizable
  • Palate: full mouthfeel, creamy-soft taste with lots of molasses, ripe pears and apples - above all clearly vanilla
  • Finish: long, creamy-soft finish
