Portrait: What makes the Black Bull Kyloe

The strong blended Scotch whiskies are characterized by courage, an innovative spirit and independence from Black Bull. Ever since the brand was founded in 1864, the blends have enjoyed great popularity among whisky fans. 
The reason: an unusually high proportion of malt and more volume percentages ensure a intense flavor profile. 

The core range - consisting of the Black Bull 12 year old, Kyloe and Kyloe Peated - largely corresponds to the original formula: 50% single Malt Whisky, 50% Single Grain Whisky, 50%vol. Alcohol content.

The distinctive blended Scotch whiskie are named after the robust breed of Highland cattle, the Kyloes.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Black Bull Kyloe tastes

  • Nose: warm syrupy and fruity Aromas of apples and pears - spicy notes in the background 
  • Palate: soft notes of ripe fruit, especially raisins and dark berries, then nuts and creamy milk chocolate
  • Finish: long finish with lots of vanilla
