Portrait: What made the Strathisla 2009/2022 Gordon & MacPhail.

Once a small deli, Gordon & MacPhail is now one of the international experts in aging special Scotch whiskies. The company has been family-owned for four generations and has combined its own casks with distillates from over 100 Scottish distilleries. 

In more than 125 years, the independent bottler has established one or two privileges - such as being able to use the retro labels of some of Scotland's most popular distilleries for their bottlings.

This Distillery Label Range by Gordon & MacPhail welcomes a newcomer to their ranks. 
The Strathisla 2009/2022 from one of Scotland's oldest distilleries combines after around 13 years of aging spicy ginger with sweet cherries, candied violets and garden mint.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Strathisla 2009/2022 Gordon & MacPhail

• Nose: fresh, spicy aromas of garden herbs and fresh ginger, followed by ripe stone fruit and mild honey
• Palate: soft and round in the taste with clear notes of ripe cherries and candied violets - above all the herbs again, especially fresh garden mint
• Finish: long, soft finish with lots of fruit - the spicy ones Sounds are present, but recede into the background
