Portrait: What makes the Takamaka Rum Blanc.
The Trois Frere's Distillery is famous for their Takamaka series.
The Takamaka Rum Blanc is made with an alcohol content of 38% vol. bottled - distilled in the column still based on molasses.
This traditional, straightforward Blanc Rum is the heart of all Takamaka rums.
The rum is based on the finest island molasses, 94% distilled in the column pot still and then with pure island spring water to 38% vol. Bottling strength reduced.
A hint of high ester provides its soft, creamy character, with natural, aromatic undertones that are very typical of the rum qualities of the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean.
The Light, tropical Takamaka Rum Blanc is ideal for mixing in classic cocktails such as Mojito, Cuba Libre, Daiquiri or the ever-popular Piña Colada.
Tasting Notes: This is what the Takamaka Rum Blanc tastes like
