More than unusual for a Scottish single malt is the triple distillation, which makes this single malt whisky exceptionally mild and soft.
The single malt matured for over 10 years fresh, first-fill former bourbon casks.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Benromach 10 years tastes Contrasts: Triple Distilled

  • Nose: Soft aromas at the beginning, more mature Fruits, especially papaya and mango, behind them fresh shortbread and some vanilla - above all, spicy oak and dried herbs
  • Palate: mouthful Lingering and soft with clear notes of red apples and green pears, plus bananas and spicy heather honey - followed by butterscotch and caramel - above all a light smoky tone
  • Finish: long and elegant soft finish - the fruit and the caramel are present for a long time
