Amrut exOloroso Cask #3822
High pleasure from the Himalayas: Amrut single cask from the Oloroso cask
Whisky has been making history in India for over 150 years.
The history of Indian whisky began on a Scottish level but only around the turn of the millennium.
And with Amrut.
India's flagship distillery was the first in the country to focus on the production of real single malt and established its quality whiskey from Bangalore around the world.
The ambitious distillers rely on small-grained and therefore sweeter Indian barley from the foot of the Himalayas.
Amrut only uses barley malt from Scotland for peated bottlings.
For this exclusive European bottling, the experimental friends rely on Andalusian barrel material.
At 60%vol. In the Amrut exOloroso Cask #3822 2015/2022, Cask Strength meets the slightly peated Indian single malt with the dark fruity, nutty character of the former sherry cask.
480 bottles of the 7-year-old exotic (although the bottling month is evident here was a little unsure) could be bottled.
Distilled: July 2015
Bottled: August 2022
Cask-No.: #3822
