Tasting Notes: How does the "AS WE GET IT" Islay taste like?

Nose: sweet, strong peat smoke with sweet aromas of butterscotch and fresh vanilla - then follows ripe barley and old leather< /p>

Palate: mouth-filling and strong in taste - the sweet peat smoke is now dominant, with notes of spicy oak

Finish: long in the finish - the peat smoke and the spicy oak are present - again the old leather and slight hints of fudge

Ian MacLeod is one of the most traditional independent bottlers in Scotland - the Scots have known about exclusive Scotch whiskies since 1933.
The "As we get it" bottlings, which are released at irregular intervals, have been firmly established for many years.
For the "AS WE GET IT" Islay Ian MacLeod, a single malt whisky from a distillery on the Scottish island of Islay is selected and Bottled unchanged at cask strength - without the use of chill filtration and without the addition of coloring agents - just "as we get it"...

Even if the name of the distillery may not be mentioned, for fans it is peaty-smoky Islay malts, it's easy to see who is responsible for this single malt whisky.
