Strong casks, bottled at cask strength - a summary of the Signatory Vintage Cask Strength Collection

Distilled on October 12, 2010, the Caol Ila 12 year old 2010/2022 fresh Sherry Butt #102 (Finish) Signatory Cask matured Strength Coll. from the whiskey island of Islay, initially in refilled hogsheads, followed by a second maturation in the first-fill Sherry Butt #102, then the cask was filled on November 22, 2022 to only 688 bottles at cask strength.

This is how the Caol Ila tastes 12 years 2010/2022 fresh Sherry Butt #102 (Finish) Signatory Cask Strength Coll.

Nose: fresh apples and citrus fruits, plus slightly nutty aromas - above all salty peat smoke

Palate: The taste becomes spicier, clearly oak and gentle notes of peat - behind it jam and olives

Finish: long finish with a lot Malt, wet earth and peat
