For the Jameson 18 years, three different distillates with a respective minimum age of 18 years are selected and blended together.
Matured in selected American and European oak barrels, the Jameson 18 years has a unique complexity and elegance, which also arises from the six-month post-maturation in first-fill exBourbon barrels.
A wonderfully soft and smooth Irish whiskey with pronounced notes of roasted coffee, spices, wood, leather and vanilla.
Tasting Notes: This is how Jameson 18 years tastes
Aroma: spicy toffee and roasted coffee, followed by spicy aromas of oak and old leather - vanilla and butterscotch in the background
Taste: pleasantly soft and mouth-filling with intense notes of caramel and spices, then again the oak and leather - plus roasted nuts and ripe dark fruit, di a little reminiscent of sherry
Finish: very long and soft finish - the spicy tones are present for a long time - the fruits fade into the background
