The Loch Lomond The Open Special Edition 2021 matured in three different types of American oak Casks, then the single malt was in Virgin American Oak Casks finished.
The result is a pleasantly soft, elegant single malt with intense fruity notes and a gentle touch sounds of smoke.
Nose: Caramel and toffee, behind which are cooked pears and ripe red apples with aromas of fresh vanilla pod
Palate: mouth-filling and smooth with notes of soft toffee and green apples, behind which are apricot jam and ripe lime
Finish: roasted oak and soft smoke with warm oak spice - with cinnamon and cloves
