The Springbank 10 Year old Pedro Ximénez Sherry Wood first matured for seven years in refilled exBourbon Barrels and then for another three years in first-fill Pedro Ximénez Sherry Hogsheads.
Nose: unmistakably the Sherry cask influence - rich flavors of date syrup and raisins
Palate: full and mouth-filling - the typical Springbank salt tone with heavy hints of the Pedro Ximénez Cask - oily and moist, clearly tannins and spicy notes, especially cinnamon, plus caramel, cola, cherry and some menthol
Finish: long in the rich finish - again the tannins and the sweet Pedro Ximénez influences of sultanas and intensively spicy tones
