Profile: What Makes Clément Rhum Agricole Blanc Special
Clément Rhum Agricole Blanc is made exclusively from fresh sugar cane juice. It benefits from the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (protected designation of origin). During the harvest season between February and June, the freshly cut sugar cane is crushed to extract the juice (vesou). Fermentation then takes place over 24 to 36 hours in open-air vats at the distillery. The fermented sugar cane juice is distilled at a maximum of 75 degrees Celsius (under AOC rules) to preserve the natural aromas of the sugar cane. Clément Rhum Agricole Blanc is a perfect spirit for mixing cocktails and, of course, for Ti' Punch.
