Back to the roots with Waterford: Single malt premieres made from hereditary grain & peat malt

If you really want to know what whiskey is all about, Waterford is the place to be. The state-of-the-art distillery from the south-east of Ireland is based on one principle: barley is the source of the aromatic diversity of malt whiskey. In the pioneering quest for the most natural whiskey flavor, Waterford has now brought flavors from a bygone era back to life.

Waterford is the first distillery to use Irish peat since the 1850s!
Mark Reynier, mastermind behind iconic whiskeys like Octomore, knows the raw material very well.
Now, for the first time, he combines peat from Ireland with Irish barley from individual farms and creates a unique terroir imprint.

Taste locality like never before, die-hard whiskey fans can now do that with Waterford Peated: Fenniscourt 1.1.
The barley was kilned over peat from Bally dough in County Kildare - for Fenniscourt to 38ppm phenolic content.
