To mark this extraordinary milestone, The GlenAllachie presents the 50th Anniversary Trilogy.
The anniversary series focuses on three areas of Walker's expertise: sherry maturation, cask management and distillation.
The GlenAllachie 4 Year Future Edition takes a look at Walker's future endeavors and gives access to The GlenAllachie's peated whiskys for the first time.
The young and vivacious single malt was made with Speyside peat from St. Fergus and matured in a mixture of exBourbon and exRye barrels and Virgin Oak casks.
The result is a powerful single malt with smoked almonds, cinnamon sticks, dark chocolate and hints of earthy peat smoke.
Nose: Bursting with toasted honeycomb, dried fruit and hazelnut, along with aromas of smoldering oak, dark chocolate and warm cinnamon apples
Palate: Lots of cinnamon, pear compote, toasted almonds, heather honey and pipe tobacco, followed by smoked barley, vanilla toffee and garden fruits
