What makes the Scallywag The Winter Edition 2022 special?

The Scallywag The Winter Edition 2022 is the third version of the Scallywag Winter Edition. The popular blended malt Scallywag is part of the Remarkable Regional Malts series. The renowned Scottish independent bottler Douglas Laing presents the respective Scottish whisky regions with his Remarkable Regional Malts. Scallywag represents the Speyside region with its fruity character and preference for sherry casks.

The Limited Edition Scallywag The Winter Edition 2022 was exclusively matured in former Spanish sherry casks. From these he drew Christmassy spices and dark fruit and chocolate notes. The malt was bottled at a tight cask strength of 54% vol. The result of cask strength bottling is a sweet and fruity malt whisky with warming aromas. A perfect dram for the cold season! As a sweet extra, this Scallywag has a red and green scarf so that the little fox terrier doesn't get cold!

• Nose: Spectacularly spicy aromas of christmas spices - cinnamon and ginger in particular are present, along with sweet, delicious dark chocolate
• Palate: Mouth-filling and rich in taste, the spicy notes are clearly joined by dark berries and tobacco leaves
