Portrait: What makes the Ben Nevis Coire Leis special

Ben Nevis Single Malt has been officially distilled at the foot of Scotland's highest mountain since 1825.
1,345 meters above sea level begins the journey of a key ingredient for the whisky: water.

On its way from the summit of Ben Nevis, it flows through the breathtaking rock formations of the Coire Leis. One of the distillery's few original bottlings available in Europe is dedicated to the small lake.
The Coire Leis matures in First Fill Bourbon Casks and is a wonderful single malt for beginners. Oily and creamy, with pear, apricot, caramel and oak spices, it shows its characteristic side.

Tasting Notes: This is how it tastes the Ben Nevis Coire Leis
